I simply cannot align my lower jaw with my upper ..it just hurts! i cannot clamp my teeth shut tight and it hurts to chew... i got it checked by the Doc he says no mumps no tetanus...friends say it happens to them when they talk too much or use their mouth too much...lot like a muscle pain. i had like 5 oral presentations yesterday so maybe they are right?? any Docs or quacks to help me??!!
Answer:
Quack here...Well, if you had 5 presentations it could be the cause. It also tends to happen to me after i eat anything really hard (like candy etc). Don't worry about it, just let your jaw relax and it'll heal itself after a few days. Hope you enjoy soup. Good luck...If you still cannot align your jaw after about a week, see a doctor, just in case...
When my sister was younger, she had problems like
that. her jaws wouldn't align and sometimes if she
layed in bed wrong or she talked too much her jaw would...
kind of... pop (?) i guess that's the right word. Go to your
doctor, or maybe a dentist.
You may need to make an appointment with an Orthodontist and request a night guard, which is an apparatus that you place in your mouth while sleeping so that you will not bite down on your teeth. After a couple of nights you will notice the difference when chewing, talking or just relaxing your jaw. Try facial massages too. Good luck
You may be experiencing a condition known as Trismus which is basically when the muscles of the jaw contract for long periods of time. On the other hand you may have a problem with your jaw joint or TMJ (temporomandibular joint)
I recommened you go see your dentist if this continues
