How can I close the gap in my front teeth?

I have seen things on ebay called tooth bands but not sure if its just a con or not. hey say you use them at night and your teeth will be sensitive for a while but do think thats safe? Cos really its yanking the teeth together, they might come loose! Or is there surgery or veneers etc??/ Just want a cheap option for nice teeth. Thanks.
Answer:
There is some sort of substance that they stick on and mould to be part of your teeth and close the gap. The front teeth will obviously look slighlty larger , but the general effect is really good. don`t try anything yourself, consult your dentist.
I got mine done years ago, still happy wasn`t too expensive.
Usually the only way is to have braces fitted at your dentist..You to wear them for quite a while as my daughter did...
i'd ask you dentist to be safe
Go see a dentist for a free consult, tell them your looking for an inexpensive option. They may recommend wearing something like braces or invisaline. Or the only other option is to have them reshape the teeth with composite material they use for white fillings. But make sure you ask them for before and after pics of previous work done, this method is usually cheap.
You should ask your dentist. I would have thought braces would be used to correct teeth. You could ask your dentist if it's gonna cost anything to have braces and how much it would cost, or maybe there is an alternative he can do. I had braces to correct my teeth years ago.
If you use those things from e-bay the gap will probably close between your two front teeth but then there will be gaps on each side. Plus, you'd need some sort of retainer to hold them in that position for a couple of years while the ligaments that hold the teeth n place adjust to the new locations...as you can see, it's not as simple as they led you to believe. The easiest way to close a gap [diastema] between front teeth is with bonding. The teeth are conditioned and a really strong plastic material [composite] is molded to place on each tooth. Only you and your dental office will ever know that it's there and..best of all you probably won't have to be numbed up to have it done!
orthodontic treatment.
Best to ask your dentist. My guess is that if you use the bands, you'll close the gaps but create new ones on the side of it. I've had braces before and gaps formed years later. I have veneers, Lumineers, and composite bonding. The bonding was the cheapest, a few hundred bucks. It was fast and no shots needed. But they can get stained though so be sure to rinse after drinking coffee, tea, soda, etc. The veneers were about $800-$1200+ each. I had to have a shot and they shaved down my tooth and placed a cap on. The Lumineers were $1400 (not including cement). The most natural looking one out of all 3 and no drilling, no shots. I am most happy w/the Lumineers. The prices will vary from dentist to dentist. But you're paying for their work also so best to go with the average or higher price. It's really a skill on how well they place it on. The bonding is great. I'm very happy w/them. Ask your doc which ones they recommend. Good luck!
With veneers they usually have to grind down the surface of your good teeth, I personally think that it would be better for you to get braces. They aren't as bad as they used to be and your teeth shouldn't be too sensitive in the beginning if you have already had braces. If the space isn't too big, you may be able to use something called bonding. the dentist does this and its a material that adheres to the teeth. that would probably be the cheapest, easiest, and painless way.
Veneers, a cap or filler may be the best option for you. I know someone who had this done, the dentist did a great job and it was quick and painless.
