How can i get whiter teeth?

My teeth are kind of yellow. I don't drink tea or coffee i mostly drink water and i brush my teeth twice a day for 2 minutes. What am i doing wrong and how can i get white teeth?
Answer:
It is all the minerals in our tap water that is causing our teeth to go this off white colour. When I lived in Australia the water was treated and we had fluride added to it. It tasted quite different. In the UK the water is very hard and stains white shower curtains a yellow/brown colour. I am SURE it must be all the minerals, calcium and irons in the water supply! Saying that you can get whitening toothpaste and try that. Or get then bleached by your dentist. There are kits available but they are sometimes the sort that hurt your teeth if you do it wrong.

Whitening toothpaste, whitestrips, that stuff you brush on your teeth overnight...
Chewing gum helps clean your teeth if you keep chewing after the sweet goes away... it might help...

I believe teeth gets yellow as people get older. Sodas, wine, and other food that stains cloth stains your teeth.
I heard you can get whiter teeth by brushing with baking soda (dip your toothbrush to baking soda prior to adding toothpaste), rub strawberry to your teeth, and rinsing your mouth with hydrogen peroxide after brushing teeth.
You can bleach them (not the household bleach).
You're probably not doing anything wrong, people just don't have naturally white white teeth. But.Try flossing. It will remove food in between so you don't have as much plaque.Buy the white strips/pasty stuff if you want to spend a little money.
If you have it, get it bleached by your dentist, it will be a little pricy though.Click on this link: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m0...It has tons of tips to make your teeth whiter %26 healthier!
Hope I helped :]
Soda stains teeth, too. That's why I suspect mine aren't as white as they could be. Ask your dentist, they can polish them or recommend whitening. Otherwise you can use store-bought products, like whitening strips. (~ $20 - $25 per box). These are usually the same chemicals the dentist uses, but they are weaker.Otherwise, if your teeth are blotchy or stained unevenly, you should look at other causes (talk to your dentist). Staining can be caused by different medications, and that would not be helped with whitening products, they can even make matters worse! On a daily / preventive basis, you can brush your teeth with a baking soda toothpaste, or some people even use pure baking soda, because the abrasive action scrubs the teeth. You may not want to do this every day, because you don't want to wear down your enamel too much and cause sensitivity.Good luck!
Some peoples teeth are naturally not white. If you want to whiten them you could go and ask your dentist for his opinion. Most dentists will do a whitening treatment for you - although this is costly. Some also offer a cheaper option of a take-home whitening kit, which should be cheaper, although will take longer to get the results.Alternativley you could try one of the whitening toothpastes and see if that makes a difference.Try not to brush your teeth with a hard tooth brush as this can damage the enamel and cause staining in the long term.Good luck!
you can get special toothpaste

A good way to whiten teeth is to brush with bicarbonate of soda but don't do it very often or it can take the enamel off your teeth. People sometimes say use lemon juice but never ever do this its acidic and will hammer your gnashers
Use teeth whitening toothpaste
I always rinse with straight peroxide, at least 2-3 nights a week before brushing, use only Colgate Total toothpaste, floss, and use a flouride rinse before bed. Also, brush after you eat or drink foods with colors added, or sodas. If you are in a place you can't brush after, carry Trident gum, it removes food and drinks from the surface of teeth. For cheap whitening use crest whitestrips. Or if you want to spend more and get better results, go to a dentist and ask for ZOOM.
Floss [necause it's good for your teeth]
but continue to brush like you are, and use a very strong mouthwash along with it.Let me explain.
I pierced my madonna, and I started using a strong wouthwash 4-5 times a day [after every meal, when i wake up before I go to bed], and my teeth have actually gotten whiter in the past 5 weeks.
Use teeth whitning strips
After 50! years I stopped smoking six weeks ago and am still very "twitchy". I also want whiter teeth and will visit my dentist in two weeks, (She is very nice and has a soft bosom upon which to rest during the examination!)
Has anyone else stopped smoking after such a long time?
