Hot/Cold pain on teeth.what can I do without seeing a dentist?

I have really bad sensitivity to hot or cold food/drink on both sides of my upper teeth. Yes I am going to see a dentist but in the meantime is there something I can do to help this. Plz don't say Orajel or Sensodyne, I'm trying those but so far nothing. Thanks!
Answer:
I would take motrin or advil to relieve some of the pain and also to calm it down I would put a hot wash-cloth on the side of your mouth and hold it there. Hope your mouth feels better!!
Orajel won't do anything for tooth pain. Stick with Sensodyne and Motrin. Aside from that, not much you can do.
Use a straw until you see your dentist.
Colgate for sensitive teeth is the absolute best. But it sounds like you have a nerve going bad in one or more of your teeth, antibiotics are your only chance on relieving the pain and it will take a few days for them to kick in.
