How can i get help!?!..SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY!?

okay so i have severe anxiety. but recently my parents have been telling me my teeth grinding is getting worse. i have a little bit of trouble falling asleep, mostly because of being scared. i usually stay asleep unless there is a thunderstorm. which is rare. and i wake up earl rested. but i remember these horrible vivid dreams of being molested and raped, and and always by different people in different situations.
i have grinded my teeth since i was very young. and i do almost every night. i have broken some teeth, and got 3 root canals on one tooth. how can i make these dreams stop and end my teeth grinding?
PLEASE HELP ME KNOW WHAT TO DO....!?!?!
THANK YOU.
Answer:
I would say, firstly, go to a therapist. They may recommend anti-anxiety pills for a little while. But the main thing is seeking therapy.
There's obviously something bothering you manifesting itself in these violent dreams. It may not be directly related to the content of the dreams but rather the emotions you experience in them. Once you bring these feelings to your consciousness via the help of a therapist, you can sort things out/ rationalise it. This should cure the anxiety if it's situational, however, you may also just have a chemical upset being stimulated by some stress.
Either way, a psychologist can def. help you.
Good luck!
My advice to you is get evaluated by a psychologist. Not because your crazy, people have that kind pf paradigm that if you go to these professionals its because your crazy. Dreams are our subconscious speaking, and i would strongly recommend phsyco analysis.good day.
For the grinding, your dentist can get you fitted with a mouth guard or the drugstore sell ones where you boil and mold to your teeth. That can help to prevent further damage.
For the dreams, it could be helpful to speak to a therapist. Ask friends or coworkers if there is one they recommend. Most insurance companies also cover a certain amount of sessions. Sometimes it's good to speak to someone. Good luck!
I am no expert but maybe if you got some counseling it may help?
Okay, I don't know how to make the dreams stop.but I would recommend seeing a therapist. Since you still live with your parents, I'm assuming your still in school? You should speak with a guidance counseler about this (sometimes telling someone about the dreams can help them go away). What you should do for your teeth, is get a mouthguard (the kind that you can heat and then bite down into to make an impression of your teeth. I'm pretty sure they sell them at Target and Walmart). It's a little uncomfrotable until you get used to it, but it will stop you from breaking your teeth. Though you really, really, really need to talk to someone about the dreams.
i use to grid my teeth to i started chewed gum to stop but a mouth gard might help to and as for the dreams maybe if you write them down they should stop coming thats what studies show or get some counseling good luck and i hope i helped
You can stop the damage to your teeth by making a plate that fits over one arch. and does not allow the teeth in the other arch to catch on anything. Sometimes this stops the grinding because you may choose this method to relieve stress because of a prematurity in your bite.
Often if you stop this method of relieving stress, you may replace it with another worse habit. It is fairly easy to stop the damage with this one.
For the dreams, you may want to undergo psychoanalysis. This will lead to an understanding of why you dream and eventually a healthier mind.
