How do you floss with veneers since they are very tight together?

Your veneers may have been placed to "close" large spaces or gaps, but they are not so tight as to make flossing difficult or impossible. There is always sufficient space for floss to slide in between each tooth, just as your natural teeth should have. Hope I've been of some help and good luck!Additional information: It is true that some patients have to slide the floss out by "pulling it through" rather than up or down, when the contact is too tight on a veneer, although this should "not" be the case if it is adjusted and polished properly prior to the cementation to the tooth, and this type of contact should never happen with a permanent crown. Veneers are very fragile and can be easily fractured or popped off when force is applied, such as with flossing. Although a veneer "can be adjusted and polished" to where there are no rough areas interproximally that could "catch" the floss causing this force to be applied, it is not always done for fear of fracturing or stressing the veneer causing a fracture or crack to happen later. The proper technique of flossing should always be used unless there is absolutely no other option available.

I have the same thing. I have veneers and crowns and sometimes it's hard to get in w/floss. I use Crest Glide or Oral B Satin. They're flat, wider and easy glide. I find th Crest slips in easy but the Oral B seems to have a rougher texture and cleans better. But everyone's different. =) Once you get in, if it's hard to get back out from how you got in, pull the floss out sideways. My dentist told me to do this because she didn't want me accidentally pulling out the veneer/crown with it overtime. It takes a little longer but helps a lot. I have to do it in front of the mirror for those teeth though. Good luck!
