HELP!! I have "canker" sores in my mouth. Also I have little white bumps on my tongue, they are SO sensitive!

I have reacurring canker sores and bumps on my tongue!! Does anyone know how I get them and even better how to get rid of them!!?? I have been using this stuff to numb them temporaroly, but I want something to get rid of them and never get them again!! Any and all help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks in advance.
Answer:
One thing that causes them is acidy drinks like soda, you might need to go to the doctor to make sure you don't have some kind of infection.
sounds like herpes. its a virus and there is nothing you can do except wait it out.
I don't know about the canker sores but as for the bumps on your tounge, do you eat a lot of acidic type foods like tomatoes? If so, those are probably salt bumps and and easy way to get rid of them (it tastes gross but it seriously works) is to get an asprin - the cheap kind, put it on a spoon with some water in it and dissolve it. Then place that on your tongue. Leave that on there for 30 to 60 seconds, rinse your mouth out and by tomorrow they will be done.
just use listerene, it should go a way on its own in a few days. that always works for me. i use to try everything like putting baking soda on the canker sore. that made it smaller in a two days and then i would use listerene. the baking soda would dry the sore. i think its one of those things that once you have it it goes away but comes back later. you cant permantly get rid of it. its like cold sores.
Like everyone else that gave you an answer, it's the acidity level in your mouth that is probably causing these sores.
When I had this situation occur, I was given Milk of Magnesia to rinse with after meals, and during the course of the day. This lowers the acidity level in your mouth. It's not pleasant, it's kind of chalky tasting and it can leave stringy residue in your mouth, but it's worth it.
Stay away from milk (lactic acid), chocolate, tomatoes, pizza sauce, hot-spicy foods. Drink lots of water.
It will still take 7-10 days to clear up. (It has to run it's course)
I have noticed a connection to the amount of sugar I eat and the amount of canker sores or frequency of them. Try cutting down on the sugar and see if that makes a difference in them acutally forming in the first place. Once you have them, brush your teeth more often than normal to kill the bacteria in your mouth. Rinse your mouth with salt water a few times per day. Look up: thrush, or candida and canker sores, online.

Help!! bad breath!?

so my nephew is 14 months old and his breath smells really really BAD ever since he was like 6 months old it smells so wierd alomost like urine or a sour smell i dunno but its disguisting.why does it smell weird and how do u get rid of it....and should i charge more for babysitting? cuz it really gets to me ..lol i dont think hes ever been checked about it because it comes and goes every other month
Answer:
it could just be from the milk he drinks. babies dont really get to eat or drink a lot of other things besides milk and im sure some of it stays on his tounge. that could lead to the sour smell in there. i really dont know what you could do to get rid of it. they do make this little toothbrush type of thing that slips over your index finger for brushing babies teeth. they also make toothpaste just for babies. you might want to try that and when you brushed his teeth you could brush his tounge just try not to gag him.
Have you smelled your breath lately? I'm sure it's no picnic either.
Make him brush his teeth all the time and gargle with mouth wash. He has to do this whether he likes it or not! Also, since kids like candies, feed him breath mints!Hope my little advice works!

HELP!! Anyone out there an oral Surgeon or going to dental school?

I just got treated for dry socket *wisdom teeth pulled 2 weeks ago* and I have medicated packing in the back of my mouth-- But im not sure when I can eat or Drink--My doctor told me but I can't remember- theres no way to get a hold of him...is there anyone out there who knows how long I have to go w/ out drinking or eating? Please help!
Answer:
You are fine to eat or drink, no straws though. You want the packing to stay in for as long as possible. Just use caution as to what you eat, nothing hard or grainy that can get lodged or stab the socket area. Hope I've been of some help and good luck with your healing. Additional information: I always tell patients to go back to their post op instructions since you really are starting over.
You should be able to eat or drink without probem since the original procedure was performed 2 weeks ago. Clotting and healing should be taking place. The symptoms of dry socket should improve within 5 days of placement of the dressing. Most dressings dissolve on their own. If you're still experiencing pain that is not improving, see your oral surgeon for post op evaluation ASAP. If your oral surgeon has asked you to return for a follow up, keep that appointment. Otherwise, you should be fine.

Help! Will this ruin my future?

I really want to be an orthodontist but... :( this year i got a C+ in biology! (10th grade) will this hinder me beoming an orthodonist/ getting into a dental school/ or even a good college?
Answer:
As a dentist myself I can tell you that in my first couple of years in high school I got a couple of C's in science classes. What you need to focus on is your 11th and 12th grade studies...take as many science (biology, chemistry, anatomy) as you can. Also talk to your high school guidance counselor, he/she will be able to get you in contact with pre-dental and dental schools and you will be able to see what classes are required. Also check the American Dental Association website, there is A LOT of useful information on dental careers. Good luck!!www.ada.org
OMG!! You got a C. Your totally fine.
not at all, work hard in grade 11 and 12 and if necessary, you can always take a summer school class between grad and college. calm down buddy!
Nooo! Just keep going. Finish High School. Get good grades in college. High school grades only help you get into a good college. Better college your in, people would want to work with you more. =]
no, don't fret you'll be fine. make sure you work really hard the next two years and everything will be ok.
did you pass the class? there is much more involved in med school than a high school science class. talk to your counselor and one at a local university.
You've clearly not gotten that low a grade before. Don't even worry about it. One grade never does anything. You can even afford to fail a class and still get into a good college. But don't let it be a pattern. Too many C's can hurt you.

Help! Its Getting Worse!?

Ok, I think I have a tooth abscess or an allergic reaction. My symptoms are swelling to the right side of my top lip, my right cheek and my right eye underneath. Please help! Its either a tooth abscess or allergic reaction!
Answer:
Go see a doctor right away as it sounds like an allergic reaction. Do not wait.....get OFF the computer and go see a doctor.
do you have or have had a tooth ache for awhile?
it`s sounds like it`s severely infected and needs to be treated
Tooth abscess and it will only get worse untreated. Go to the dentist ASAP, good luck.
HELLO,
IT'S A GOOD THING THAT YOU WILL BE GOING TO THE DENTIST. YOU WILL BE GIVEN ANTIBIOTICS FOR YOUR ABSCESS, BUT YOU'LL BE FINE.
